Edinburgh coach Rob Moffat is calling for consistency after his side raised their game to see off Leinster and record their first Magners League win of the season.
The Gunners finally reached their potential in the comprehensive 32-24 bonus-point triumph with tries from prop Geoff Cross, Tim Visser, Mark Roberton and David Blair, who impressed filling in for the injured Phil Godman.
And after Moffat’s men ended a seven-match losing streak, he challenged his players to pick up where they left off against Aironi next week.
“Everybody in this group was determined to get a better performance and it was much better,” said Moffat.
“In the first three games we had played patches of good rugby.
“We’d done pretty well in the first half without taking our chances but that 20 to 25 minutes we played early in the second half is exactly how we know we can play and it was great to see.
“We have scored four tries and got a bonus point, which is good, but nobody in our group will get carried away at all.
“This is a very tight league and it’s over 22 games so we’ve got to show some real consistency. If we do that, results will come, but we’ve got to kick on next week.”
