The 2014 FIRA-AER U18 European Championship gets underway in Poland today with defending champions England facing Portugal in Plewiska at 12:00 (local time).
England are the two-time defending champions, having also won the Justin Bridou trophy in 2012, and will be bidding for a similar start to last year when they also faced Portugal first, prevailing 82-8.
Swiftly following that clash is Ireland’s first match of the Championship against Georgia. Ireland have finished first, second and third in the last three years and they will be looking for a return to the final in Poland. That match kicks off at 14:00 (local time) in Opalenica.
Also at 14:00 (local time) in Pobiedziska, Scotland will face Wales, having won the fixture 12 months ago, and at 16:00 France play Italy back in Plewiska.
