Henry Pyrgos could be in line to make his first RBS 6 Nations appearance of the year after being added to the Scotland squad following four months out because wrist surgery.
The 26-year-old joins Glasgow Warriors team-mates Alex Dunbar and Fraser Brown in being recalled as Scotland prepare to host France at BT Murrayfield this Sunday – looking to record just a second win over Les Bleus since the turn of the millennium.

Pyrgos, who has scored four tries in 17 internationals, only made one appearance at the World Cup last autumn and was an unused substitute in Scotland’s other four games as he provided cover for skipper Greig Laidlaw.
But the scrum-half played for Glasgow in their 27-20 victory over Cardiff Blues this weekend and his returning performance drew praise from head coach Gregor Townsend.
“I thought Henry Pyrgos was outstanding,” said Townsend. “To be out of the game for four months and really add tempo to our game, make the right decisions of where to attack and the players followed him and we got a couple of cracking tries in there.”
Another of the Warriors’ Scottish internationals, centre Mark Bennett, was also in the headlines after the Blues clash.

The 23-year-old let the ball slip through his grasp as he crossed the try-line in the first half of the clash, ultimately preventing Glasgow from securing a four-try bonus point.
And of his mistake, Townsend said: “He put his hand up at half-time, it was unlucky.
“It was great seeing him go over, a nice move, but obviously he’ll put the ball down with two hands from now on!”
