England were crowned RBS 6 Nations champions for the second successive season at the conclusion of Super Saturday in Dublin.
Eddie Jones’ team clinched their title a week ago with victory over Scotland which ensured they could not be caught at the top of the table.
They travelled to Ireland in search of the Grand Slam but came up against an Irish team that proved just too strong, eventually going down 13-9.
Still, the English were still able to celebrate back-to-back Championships for the first time since 2001 and will take plenty of confidence heading into a summer tour of Argentina.
With the lights at the Aviva Stadium dimmed and fireworks going off behind them, England went on a lap of honour around the stadium.
And they will now set their sights on becoming the first team to win three straight titles in the RBS 6 Nations era in 2018.
