Elliot Daly is confident England will rebound quickly from their Calcutta Cup loss as they prepare for next week’s NatWest 6 Nations game in France.
Huw Jones inspired a famous win for Scotland last weekend and England’s hopes of winning a third straight Championship rely on them beating Les Bleus in Paris.
Daly, along with back-row Sam Simmonds, is back fit after ankle and calf problems and has been named in Eddie Jones’ wider 33-man squad.

And the Wasps back insists there is a positive mood pulsing through the camp as they return to the scene of their most recent Grand Slam.
“It’s all a positive mood,” said the 25-year-old. “We’re going to lose games, that’s what happens, but it’s how you bounce back from it. The massive thing for us is where we can look at the game, look at what we did right and what we did wrong in attack and defence, and then we can move on from that.
“This team want to get better, improve and will target the next game to get a win out there.
“There was no frustration really. It was all about let’s get back to it now, let’s improve, let’s try and get on to the next game. You’ve just got to look at the positives and negatives from it and move on.”
With Daly back fit, Jones has an array of weapson on the wing with Anthony Watson, Jonny May and Jack Nowell also fighting for a starting place.
Daly’s versatility, which can see him play at centre, wing or full-back, gives Jones another option as he plots a fourth straight Championship win against France.
“You want everybody fit, if everyone’s fit the quality of players are there and it’s going to make the team better,” Daly added.
“There are going to be people left out of the team but there’s going to be nothing negative coming out of them and it’s going to be ‘right lads, you do the job this weekend.’
“Eddie picks the team so all you’ve got to do is do what you can do and then not worry about anything else.
“If you do your stuff to 100% and give it everything, not just on the field but in the gym and outside the game as well, then you’re giving yourself the best chance.”
