After their record win at Twickenham, it comes as no surprise that France lead the way in the Round 4 awards – with Thibaud Flament taking home the Player of the Round prize.
Flament was excellent at Twickenham and scored two tries to take his 2023 Championship tally to three, as Les Bleus soared to a famous 53-10 win.
The imperious second row was a shoe-in for the Team of the Week and a massive 78% of voters selected him in the heart of the pack.
He is joined by seven of his France colleagues, including front-row duo Cyril Baille and Julien Marchand, and back-row stars Charles Ollivon – who also scored two tries – and Gregory Alldritt.
Antoine Dupont, who was outstanding at Twickenham and underlined his status as the best scrum-half in the world, was an automatic selection, with 72% of the vote, while Jonathan Danty and Thomas Ramos complete France’s contingent.
Ireland also have a healthy selection, with six of their players chosen for the Team of the Round following their win in Scotland.
Tighthead prop Tadhg Furlong looked like he’d never been away, with a fine performance in his first appearance of the Championship, and he takes home 64% of the vote.
James Ryan and Peter O’Mahony both worked tirelessly and earn the nod, while Johnny Sexton once again showed that age is just a number with a masterful performance at fly-half.
James Lowe and Mack Hansen are picked on the wings after both scored tries at BT Murrayfield, while Scotland’s Huw Jones is the only player from outside of the two title-chasing teams to earn a nod after he took his tally of Championship tries to four.
