feyi-waboso
England have named their 36-man training squad for this November's Autumn Nations Series.

There are no uncapped players in Steve Borthwick's squad, which will fly to the Catalonian city of Girona early next week as part of their Autumn Nations Series preparations. Among the least experienced players are forwards Fin Baxter and Trevor Davison (all capped twice) and backs Tom Roebuck (one cap), Ollie Sleightholme and Luke Northmore (both capped twice). Alex Lozowski (five caps) has made his return to the England set-up after a six-year hiatus from International rugby.

Saracens (seven) and Harlequins (six) lead the way in terms of club representation in Steve Borthwick's 36-man squad. Leicester, Northampton Saints, and Bath each have five players involved. Sale have four, while Exeter Chiefs and Bristol have two apiece.

England's campaign begins in earnest on Saturday 2nd November when they welcome New Zealand to the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham (15:10, live on TNT Sports). Then, on consecutive weekends, they will face Australia, South Africa and Japan.

“Naming this squad is an exciting step in our preparations for the Autumn Nations Series, and we look forward to working with the players again in the days ahead,” commented Borthwick. “Our focus is on thorough preparation and building cohesion as we approach what will be a fiercely competitive series.

“Facing New Zealand in the opening match is a tremendous opportunity for us to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world. Having only played at Allianz Stadium twice in our last 15 games, it will be fantastic to return and play in front of our home crowd. The energy and passion of our supporters always give the players an extra boost.”
