Byrne, who featured as part of former Leinster head coach Matt Williams' backroom staff, now returns to Dublin with his Flying Fijians side ready to test a shaken Irish team.
Last Saturday (16th November), a much-changed Fijian side defeated a defiant Spanish team to conclude their Autumn Nations Series.
Byrne has made one change in the front row from the side that faced Wales in the Autumn Nations Series. Eroni Mawi (prop) and co-captain Tevita Ikanivere (hooker) retain their starting jerseys, with the sole change seeing Luke Tagi come in for Samu Tawake, who moves to the bench.
Mesake Vocevoce comes into the starting second row to replace Isoa Nasilasila, partnering Temo Mayanavanua, who keeps his starting spot. Behind them, Byrne has named an unchanged back row from the Welsh Test, with Meli Derenalagi (blindside flanker), Kitione Salawa (openside flanker), and Elia Canakaivata (number 8) all retaining their places.
The half-back pairing also remains the same, with Frank Lomani (scrum-half) and star man Caleb Muntz (fly-half), who was named Player of the Match against Wales for an outstanding display of control and skill.
The centres are unchanged as well, with Josua Tuisova and co-captain Waisea Nayacalevu forming the formidable partnership that caused Wales so many issues.
There is one alteration in the back three: Ponipate Loganimasi starts on the wing, replacing the banned Semi Radradra, who received the first-ever 20-minute red card for his high tackle on Wales full-back Cameron Winnett. Vaute Karawalevu once again starts at full-back, completing the starting XV for the match against Ireland.
The bench features four changes. Sam Tawake joins Sam Matavesi and Haereiti Hetet as the replacement front-rowers. Setareki Turagacoke joins Albert Tuisue as back-five cover, while Peni Matawalu, Vilimoni Botitu, and Sireli Maqala are named as the backline replacements.
