Social media was once again in full flow during the Autumn Nations Series, with some brilliant clips posted from the rugby world throughout the month of top-class action.
Whether it was England’s thrilling victory over world champions South Africa, France’s landmark success over New Zealand or Ireland’s clean sweep, we saw the best of the international game at stadiums across Europe.
And where better to start the round-up of the best social media this series, than with that sensational win for Les Bleus in Paris, their first against the All-Blacks since the 2009 World Cup.
A clip posted from their online series ‘DestinsMeles’ gives fans an inside look at the pre-match meeting before the team produced a sensational performance.
Also in that very game who can forget this remarkable counter-attack, that left the All Blacks chasing shadows.
England’s win over South Africa exorcised some of their own demons following the 2019 World Cup final defeat and the importance of the win wasn’t lost on former hooker Brian Moore.
This clip of the national anthem being sung by a packed Twickenham also picked up a lot of love on Twitter, reminding us all of how much we missed fans for much of the past 18 months.
Wales also had a positive end to the series recovering from defeats against New Zealand and South Africa by picking up wins over Fiji and Australia.

The WRU social media channels posted a video on matchday, before the win over the Wallabies which managed to capture the wonderful atmosphere that surrounds Cardiff when a big game comes to town.
The Autumn Nations Series had begun with New Zealand beating Wales at Principality Stadium and Beauden Barrett earned his 100th All Blacks cap that day – celebrating with a Player of the Match performance.
Sonny Bill Williams and Michael Lynagh were among those to pay tribute to the 30-year-old after he played a pivotal role in the All Blacks getting the better of Wales in their own backyard.
Barrett wasn’t the only fly-half to pass a century of appearances for his country during the Autumn Nations Series as Johnny Sexton brought up his ton for Ireland in the victory over Japan.
Skipper Sexton put Japan to the sword figuratively speaking before being gifted a Samurai sword by Japanese captain Pieter Labuschagne to celebrate his impressive achievement.
Sexton was then moved to tears by the ovation he got.
On the final weekend of the Series, Scotland captain Stuart Hogg also notched a milestone as he became his country’s record try-scorer in the 29-20 win over Japan.
And the Scotland rugby Instagram page produced a brilliant post capturing the historic moment using close up on-pitch cameras and set to an epic soundtrack.
Meanwhile, forwards often have notions of being a back and enjoying all the try-scoring glory but England flanker Courtney Lawes gave a first-hand demonstration of his full-backing ability.
And finally, South Africa brought some of the best laughs after their win over Scotland, specifically Siya Kolisi and this ‘interaction’ with a fan after his team’s win at Murrayfield.
