Rugby fans were treated to another enthralling weekend of action as the second round of the inaugural Autumn Nations Cup provided three more box office encounters.
England, Wales and France all emerged victorious against Ireland, Georgia and Scotland, respectively, and there were standout individual performances in all three contests.

Maro Itoje and Jonny May were both right at the heart of England’s commanding win over Ireland while Aaron Wainwright was a relentless machine as Wales edged out Georgia in Llanelli.
Virimi Vakatawa completes the shortlist after scoring the only try of the game as France secured a hard-fought 22-15 victory against Scotland at BT Murrayfield.

Maro Itoje – England
England were dominant in defence and attack as Eddie Jones’ men defeated Ireland 18-7 at Twickenham to move one step closer to securing top spot in Group A.
And Maro Itoje’s performance in the engine room was one of the key reasons behind the success of the hosts, with the lock gaining the upper hand in his battle with James Ryan.
As is so often the case, the 26-year-old was a nuisance all afternoon and was the leader of England’s incredible defensive effort – producing two vital turnovers and 24 tackles.
Jonny May – England
The scorer of England’s two first-half tries, Jonny May was at his electrifying best against Ireland as the winger struck twice within five minutes to take the game away from the visitors.
His first effort saw the 30-year-old leap highest to take Owen Farrell’s cross-field kick under pressure from Hugo Keenan before crossing the whitewash for his 30th England try.
May then became his country’s joint second-most prolific try-scorer with one of the best tries ever scored at England HQ, going coast-to-coast and leaving a trail of Ireland players in his wake in the process as he completed a sensational solo effort.
Aaron Wainwright – Wales
Wales ended their six-match losing run against Georgia with a bruising 18-0 win at Parc y Scarlets, with Aaron Wainwright earning the Player of the Match award for his all-action display.
Starting at No.8 rather than his usual flanker position, Wainwright was a physical force from the very first whistle and carried powerful as he repeatedly scattered the Georgian defence.
The 23-year-old made 94 metres with the ball in hand in total – more than any other player on the pitch – while he also had a perfect 100 percent tackle success from his six tackles.
Virimi Vakatawa – France
There was little to choose between the two teams in Edinburgh as Scotland and France battled for Group B supremacy – that was until Virimi Vakatawa made his crucial intervention.
It was always going to take a moment of class to settle the contest and after a quiet first half, the bulldozing centre rose to the occasion to score the decisive only try after the restart.
A solid French scrum allowed Gael Fickou to find Vincent Rattez. The winger sliced through and found Vakatawa on his shoulder, with the 28-year-old holding off Stuart Hogg to dot down.
