The final weekend of group games in the Autumn Nations Cup did not disappoint as all three contests produced worthy contenders for Try of the Round.
Now it’s up to you, the fans, to decide which score deserves that crown.
Johnny Williams’s clever maiden score, Carlo Canna’s well-worked effort, Giorgi Kveseladze’s blockbuster finish and Gabin Villiere’s scything try are all in the running for the prize.
You can make your selection for which score should earn the gong at the bottom of this page but first, a reminder of what the four tries in contention looked like.
Johnny Williams – WALES v England
It was not enough to prevent Wales from slipping to their second defeat of the tournament, but Johnny Williams’ instinctive effort gave the hosts early hope against England in Llanelli.
Eddie Jones’ men had dominated the opening stages but the momentum swung in Wales’ favour when Dan Biggar charged down Henry Slade’s attempted grubber on 10 minutes.
The Welsh fly-half sprinted forward and hacked the ball on for Williams, making just his second international start at centre, to nudge on before dodging the covering man and dotting down.
Gabin Villiere – FRANCE v Italy
Les Bleus booked their place in the Autumn Nations Cup showpiece with a bonus-point 36-5 victory against Italy in Paris, scoring five tries to seal top spot in Group B.
But there was no question which of their five scores was the pick of the bunch as debutant Gabin Villiere’s sensational solo effort provided a moment of magic at the Stade de France.
The winger pounced on the ball from the lineout before slicing through the Italian defence like a hot knife through butter, leaving a trail of blue shirts in his wake as he showed the speed he honed as a rugby sevens star to sprint over the whitewash.
Carlo Canna – ITALY v France
While Italy ultimately came up short against France, Franco Smith’s side put the hosts under pressure early on and scored the opening try through Carlo Canna to take the lead.
Having fallen behind to Matthieu Jalibert’s penalty, the Azzurri responded almost immediately as Marco Zanon carried hard before the ball was recycled back to Paolo Garbisi.
The talented 20-year-old dummied a pass out wide before cutting inside the Les Bleus defence and offloading brilliantly with one hand to the onrushing Canna to dive over in the corner.
Giorgi Kveseladze – GEORGIA v Ireland
Georgia finally opened their try-scoring account in the Autumn Nations Cup against Ireland and in doing so, the Lelos delivered one of the scores of the tournament in Dublin.
The hosts had made a strong start thanks to Billy Burns converting his own try and adding a further penalty but Georgia roared back thanks to Giorgi Kveseladze’s marvellous effort.
The centre collected Soso Matiashvili’s inside pass on the halfway line at speed before selling Jacob Stockdale a dummy, fending off Burns, weaving through would-be tacklers and crossing under the posts.
