The Autumn Nations Series gets underway with a cracker this Saturday as Scotland welcome Australia to BT Murrayfield.
Gregor Townsend’s side have won three in a row against the Wallabies and will look to maintain that streak before clashes with Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina.
The Wallabies, meanwhile, are beginning a demanding schedule of five matches. After Edinburgh, they will head to Paris to take on France before going up against Italy, Ireland and Wales.
And for this crunch encounter, a lot will come down to team selection and what Townsend and Dave Rennie go for in terms of personnel.
We will have to wait until Thursday to find out. Australia will be the first to name their side, with the team due to come out at 11am.
Will Rennie bring Michael Hooper straight back into his starting line-up? Who gets the nod at fly-half between Noah Lolesio and Bernard Foley? And does Will Skelton get a first Test start since 2015?
All those questions will be answered on Thursday, while you will not have to wait long to find out what Townsend is thinking.
The Scotland coach has already made one bold call with the omission of Finn Russell. We will find out what else he is planning on Thursday at 3pm.
Like Australia, there is a big call to be made at fly-half. Will Blair Kinghorn keep the jersey after his performances in Argentina, or has Adam Hastings earned himself a shot, pushing his cause on Friday night with a match-winning drop goal from his own half for Gloucester?
