Wayne Pivac has recalled Hallam Amos ahead of Wales’ pivotal Round 3 Guinness Six Nations match against France.
Amos is a replacement for Owen Lane, who was released from the squad earlier in the campaign due to injury, and comes in to offer back three cover.
The full-back missed the start of the Championship due to an ankle injury he suffered with club side Cardiff Blues in January and last featured for Wales in the Rugby World Cup.
He played in a pool game against Uruguay and the third-place play-off against New Zealand, where he scored the sixth try of his international career.
Wales’ Round 2 defeat to Ireland makes Saturday’s game a must-win if they are to have any hope of retaining the title.
However, France have been firing on all cylinders in the opening two round which saw them beat England and Italy in Paris.
Saturday’s match will also mark the first time Wales have come up against their former defence coach Shaun Edwards since he left after the World Cup.
