Aki edged out fierce competition - including Scotland’s hat-trick hero Huw Jones, French winger Théo Attissogbé and Ireland teammate Jamison Gibson-Park - to win the Try of the Round, which was decided by a fan vote.
Aki’s crucial try against England secured 33% of the votes, narrowly beating Jones’s second try against Italy by just tens of votes.
After receiving a looping pass from fly-half Sam Prendergast, Aki powered through England playmaker Marcus Smith. He was then met by scrum-half Alex Mitchell and wing Tommy Freeman, but his strength proved too much as he powered over in the corner to level the scores at 10-10 and swing the momentum in Ireland's favour.
