Scotland record-breaker Chris Paterson will win his 100th cap after Andy Robinson selected him at full-back to face Wales in the RBS 6 Nations this weekend.
Elsewhere Robinson has opted to ring the changes in his backline with Rory Lamont coming in on the wing with his brother Sean shifting to outside centre to replace Max Evans who drops to the bench.
At fly-half Dan Parks replaces Phil Godman who was off-form in the 18-9 defeat to France and the Glasgow man will be expected to form a more rounded half-back combination with captain Chris Cusiter.
The only change in the pack is at tighthead prop where Euan Murray – who missed Sunday’s loss because of his religious convictions – comes in for Moray Low who was given a torrid time by the French scrum.
All eyes in the Millennium Stadium though will be on Paterson who will become the first Scot to pass the century landmark and the 11th player in international rugby to achieve that goal.
The 31-year-old is already Scotland’s record points scorer and slotted three penalties against France to take his tally to 34 consecutive successful kicks in the Championship.
And head coach Andy Robinson was quick to pay tribute to Paterson’s benchmark.
He said: “He has been a fantastic ambassador for the team and it’s a tremendous honour for him to win his 100th cap. It’s well-deserved and I’m looking forward to seeing him perform at the weekend.”
