Fit-again fly-half Danny Cipriani has been backed to make a swift return to the England team – as long as he shines for Wasps.
The 22-year-old poster-boy has made an impressive return to club action recently after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a broken leg.
And now club team-mate and former French international flanker Serge Betsen has backed Cipriani to rediscover the form that made him an England favourite.
“Danny is a very talented player but needs to continue improving week-n, week-out at the highest level,” said Betsen.
“If he keeps playing the way he has been since his return he can stay healthy I am convinced he can get back into the England team.
“But he must do this with regularity and it must be every week, not just in the big matches like the one this weekend against Leicester but against teams without such big names in their ranks.
“It’s about playing better than your opposite number every week and ensuring you come out of that match-up to help your team win.”
