The Australia-born former Edinburgh forward, who has 58 caps, arrives in Dublin from French Top 14 side Perpignan and will be joined at Leinster by tight-head prop Mike Ross, who moves from Guinness Premiership side Harlequins, and Australian back Shaun Berne, formerly of Bath.

Hooker Richardt Strauss, 23, has also agreed a deal with the province after leaving Super 14 side the Cheetahs.

The four new arrivals join Ireland international scrum-half Eoin Reddan, who had previously signed a three-year deal from London Wasps.
