Who is eligible?
The award is exclusively for players earning their first Guinness Men’s or Women’s Six Nations senior cap in 2025, celebrating those who have made the significant step to play for their country, fostered a teamwork mentality, and performed at a high level.
Weekly updates
Every round, the Official Six Nations website and dedicated social channels will be the destination to read all and hear about the players who have stood out and could be in contention for the new award.
From predicting how players might fare in their debuts to breaking down their standout moments, fans will have plenty to discuss.
How the winner is decided
The BKT Rising Player award will be chosen by the broadcast partners of the Guinness Men’s and Women’s Six Nations Championship, submitting their nominations at the conclusion of round four.
Votes are ranked, points are assigned, and the player with the highest tally will be crowned the inaugural BKT Rising Player.
Crowning the champion
Winners will be revealed at the conclusion of Round 5, with a live announcement across broadcast channels.
Fans can expect behind-the-scenes footage from the award presentation, including the first glimpse of the BKT Rising Player trophy in the hands of the deserving winner.
