Ireland winger James Lowe has won the 2022 Guinness Six Nations Player of Round 4 for his starring role in his side’s 32-15 victory over England at Twickenham.

Lowe was involved in seemingly everything positive that Ireland did on the day, and it didn’t take him long to make his mark.

Just five minutes in, he crossed the line to score the visitors first try on their way to a bonus point win as they kept their title hopes alive for a first Guinness Six Nations title since 2018.

That was just the beginning for Lowe though, who made an incredible 209 metres from 13 carries at Twickenham, almost 100m more than the next best Hugo Keenan.

It is no surprise with that many metres made, Lowe broke through a team leading five tackles, while he was also a nuisance at the breakdown, winning a turnover for his side.

In the eyes of the public, Lowe was the winner by a fairly large distance, winning 32% of the vote, ahead of Scotland scum-half who received 24%.

Despite defeat, Ellis Genge finished third, with 22%, finishing just nine votes behind Price after his phenomenal performance in the scrum.

Jullien Marchand finished fourth with 22% of the vote (just three votes behind Genge) after starring in France’s 13-9 win over Wales in Cardiff.
