London Wasps have appointed England flanker and academy product Tom Rees as club captain for the 2009-10 campaign.
Rees already has experience in the position after leading Wasps in the second half of last season upon the injury-enforced retirement of Raphael Ibanez.
The 24-year-old has made 95 appearances for the club and has 15 caps.
New director of rugby Tony Hanks has named two vice-captains in Serge Betsen and Phil Vickery.
Hanks said: “Tom is a hugely focused and determined individual who is one of the best players in his position not just in the Premiership but in Europe and on the world stage.
“When leading the side last season he stood out as someone who could not only influence a game in terms of his player management, but consistent positive feedback from the referees also showed his maturity and strength.”
