Sam Prendergast named Player of the Round (R2)

Sam Prendergast
Ireland fly-half Prendergast has been named Player of the Round following the second weekend of the Championship

The 22-year-old from Leinster claimed 44% of the fan vote after his controlled performance in the victory over Scotland in Edinburgh.

Prendergast saw off competition from Italy number eight Lorenzo Cannone (33%), fellow fly-half Fin Smith of England (15%), and his half-back partner for club and country, Jamison Gibson-Park (8%), who was up for his second Player of the Round nomination.

Prendergast truly lived up to expectations, delivering a poised and confident performance in the final match of round two. His skills not only assisted Ireland in securing their incredible 11th consecutive victory over Scotland but also saw him score 12 crucial points from the boot along the way.
