The Bristol Bears-bound player, who was born in New Zealand, made his Test debut in the 2024 Autumn Nations Series, and is a URC title winner with Glasgow. A fly-half by trade, he is a fullback option for head coach Gregor Townsend, having made his first Test start at 15 against the Springboks in November.
Jordan, 26, who can back up his skills with some impressive physicality, will line up in midfield with the hat-trick star of round one, Huw Jones, with Stafford McDowall this week named on the bench.
Another notable change from round one sees loosehead prop Rory Sutherland preferred to Pierre Schoeman. Meanwhile, Matt Fagerson shifts from number eight to blindside. Jack Dempsey comes in at eight, with Jamie Ritchie moving to the bench.
Scotland will be desperate to claim what they feel is a long overdue win against the Irish, since their last victory against the men in green came back in 2017. In that time, Scotland have lost 10 consecutive games to their Celtic cousins.
