It was all change at the top of Rugby’s Greatest Championship this weekend as Wales’ historic win over England saw them hit the front.

And it was a result reflected at the summit of the overall Guinness Six Nations Fantasy Rugby League of Nations table, with Wales’ fantasy managers likewise leapfrogging their English counterparts after a bumper weekend of high-scoring performances.

In what was a double whammy for fans of the men in red, they were able to profit from the performances of their own players, with four Welshmen – Liam Williams, Cory Hill, Alun Wyn Jones and Ken Owens – all making the team of the round.

Supporters of Warren Gatland’s men averaged 436 points from the weekend’s action taking their overall average for the Championship to 1393.7, just enough to edge them ahead of England’s 1390.5.

But the impressive displays from Welsh managers in Round Three weren’t enough to see them claim top spot this weekend, as Ireland’s fantasy bosses impressed en masse to average 442 points.

It was a collective display that saw Irish representatives creep above their Italian counterparts into fourth overall, their 1348.3 average points narrowly bettering the Azzurri fans’ 1344.9, with any managers lucky enough to have Jacob Stockdale as their captain boosting the number as he led the way for Round 3 individual performers.

France’s 27-10 win over Scotland saw them make up ground on Italy in sixth as their supporters averaged 432 points to take them up to 1299.5 overall, while Scotland stay third in the Guinness Six Nations Fantasy Rugby League of Nations standings, just clear of Ireland on 1354.3.
