Massimo Brunello has made two changes to his Italy side ahead of their clash against England in Round 2 of the 2022 Six Nations Under 20s.

Italy lost 41-15 on their visit to France last weekend and will be looking for a better result when they take on England on Friday night on home soil at the Stadio Comunale Di Monigo.

And he has made two changes with his forwards ahead of the clash, with hooker Lapo Frangini coming in to replace Tommaso Scramoncin and Carlos Berlese replacing Ross Michael Vintcent.

Scramoncin moves to the bench for Friday’s match, while Vintcent does not feature in the squad.

Giacomo Ferrari will once again captain the side, who will be hoping to improve on 2021’s 27-17 defeat to England in last year’s Championship in Cardiff.

Head coach Brunello said: “England are a dangerous team, they know how to attack from all sides of the pitch and they are certainly capable of hurting anyone.

“We have studied them carefully, and our game plan is built to withstand the impact allowing us to express our rugby. We respect them but we do not fear them and we will play openly.

“The team is mentally ready, charged for being able to return to play in Italy after a very long time. I am confident that Monigo’s crowd will be able to give the right push. We will always play trying to keep the standard high to stay in the game until the end, then we’ll see.”
