For both teams there are a series of returning players from 12 months ago, with Wales able to call upon Louie Hennessy and Morgan Morse, while Liam McConnell has taken on the mantle of Scotland’s captain after being co-captain last time around.

Wales head coach Richard Whiffen has named eight debutants in his starting side for Scotland’s visit, where six more players could make their Wales U20s debuts from the bench.
There are just three survivors of Wales’ defeat to Scotland in Glasgow a year ago, Louie Hennessy and Morgan Morse retaking their places alongside Dragons RFC’s Harri Ackerman, who skippers the team from inside centre.
Ieuan Davies makes his debut at scrum-half, where he will partner Harri Wilde, while Walker Price, Harry Rees-Weldon and Huw Anderson also make their first appearances for the U20s side.
In the pack, there are debuts at loosehead prop and hooker, where Jordan Morris and Harry Thomas, while Nick Thomas will partner Jonny Green at lock and Osian Thomas starts at blindside flanker.
There is no lack of age grade experience in Scotland’s squad for their opening Six Nations Under 20s Championship.
A number of the group played in the FOSROC Futures XV side that competed in the FOSROC Super Series Championship last year, where Amena Caqusua crossed the try line on nine occasions and will combine with Kerr Johnston on the wing.
There are a number of debuts in Kenny Murray’s side, including vice-captain Ruaridh Hart and half-back partners Murdoch Lock and Isaac Coates.
Tighthead prop Ollie Blyth-Lafferty will team up with Elliot Young at hooker and Robbie Deans starts at loosehead prop and adds to his four appearances in the competition last time around.

Wales head coach Richard Whiffen said: "You think about the game up there just before Christmas and obviously the one point game last Six Nations, I expect it to be very tight. They have a very good pack, their maul is pretty strong so I expect them to challenge us in that area.
"On top of that they've got some real good pace in those wider channels so I would imagine they are a team that is going to come down thinking they've got a good opportunity, and it will be a tough challenge for us but one that we walk towards.”
Scotland head coach Kenny Murray said: “The team have prepared well for what should be a very competitive match in Colwyn Bay.
“We beat Wales last year at Scotstoun, but our hosts will be sure to use that as fuel to push for a win in front of their home crowd.”
