France squad named for the Women's Summer Series

France have named their 28-player squad for this month's Women's Summer Series in Parma, Italy.

Les Bleuettes will face Wales (4th July), Scotland (9th) and England (14th) in the inaugural competition, which represents a new opportunity for U20s player across the Six Nations teams.

"This first edition of the Women's Summer Series is a great opportunity for us to showcase what women's rugby represents at youth level," said captain Zoé Jean. "We have been waiting for this for a long time. We are ready for this tournament. We are fully aware that we still have a lot of work to do to develop our game as much as possible."

"For the first edition of the Summer Series in Parma, we approach this competition with a mix of excitement and determination," said head coach Caroline Suné. "We will have the opportunity to play against some nations for the first time, and we will have to adapt to this new challenge.

"Our ambition is clear, we intend to make history by winning this first edition of the Women's Summer Series. We are determined to showcase the full potential of French rugby and affirm our place on the international stage."
