France winger Melissande Llorens was awarded Player of the Match after a sensational performance in Les Bleues’ 55-0 win over Scotland.
Scoring one of nine tries, Llorens was also on hand to assist two in an eye-catching display at the Stade de la Rabine in Vannes.
Perhaps the biggest sign of how well she played is the fact she was given the award despite Emilie Boulard scoring a hat-trick.
Llorens was on fine form with ball in hand, making 113 metres from just eight carries and in the process breaking through five tackles.
She also had two offloads, one of which saw her assist for Gaelle Hermet’s try after a fantastic run through the heart of the Scotland defence, before being brought down just a metre shy to offload to the back row forward.
Her other assist was to her scrum-half Pauline Bourdon, scooping the ball up from the base of the ruck and passing inside to Bourdon to get Les Bleues on track.
She then scored France’s second try, diving on the loose ball after a fortuitous knock back from Boulard as France began to take control.
